WWE RAW Review 8.26.19 w/ Cameron Dougharty

I’m back again this week, maybe we will make a habit of this. Before we get into Raw, make sure you check out Stone Cold’s show after Raw, he was hanging out with Baker Mayfield for crying out loud.

1. There was a lot of talk about Sasha Banks’ promo this past Monday and rightfully so. Sasha said all the right buzz words and did all the right things again and it might not be much longer until everyone remembers why The Boss was atop of the women’s division.

2. Ricochet and Drew McIntyre had an absolute banger of a match in the first round of the King of the Ring tournament. We should all count our blessings that Ricochet’s light continues to shine on the main roster. I just wish I could say the same for Drew.

3. The Miz is  involved with Shinsuke Nakamura, Sami Zayn and the Intercontinental Title on Smackdown so unfortunately, Baron Corbin defeated him in their first round match. Boring Corbin winning the King of the Ring means nothing, so please WWE, please don’t do it.

4. I will defend the Tag Team Turmoil angle that took place on Raw and defend it I shall. Not only did tag team wrestling get tv time but the WWE protected The Viking Raiders and The OC with the double disqualification. They also introduced a new team of Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler, which I think defeat Seth Rollins and Braun Stroman at Clash of Champions.

5. Cesaro deserves a life time achievement award from Vince McMahon himself. The guy is always having classic matches, this past Monday with Cedric Alexander was no exception. He has been with the WWE forever and has done just about everything there is to do besides win the WWE Title. Now that he’s going to NXT UK this Saturday, streaming live on the WWE Network, I begin to wonder if Cesaro is someone who appears weekly when NXT goes live in September.

6. I absolutely love that The Street Profits are NXT Tag Team Champions while simultaneously being wrestling mark, hype men for everyone on the main roster. Never change Ford and Dawkins, never change.

7. Once again the WWE out thinks themselves for their main event. Instead of putting more heat on AJ Styles and The Club the damn heat is on the referee. Instead of Seth and Braun building tension between the two of them, the ending was over thought, plain and simple. Come on WWE, you guys are better than that.
