Bumping Up…Eliza Roux
Interviews can be a tricky topic. Not only do you have to create engaging content, but you also have to come up with questions that make for a cohesive read. And that’s all before you’re even able to find time in the interviewee’s busy schedule to ask the questions.
If it were an interview with someone you’re already aware of, then it’s more likely you will read it, right? But what about those you don’t know. You could be missing out on getting to know your next new favourite wrestler, and you wouldn’t even know it.
So, in order to spread the word on talent on the indie circuit, I got straight to the basics.
Bumping Up is here to point you in their direction and broaden your scope on new talent and promotions. If you like what you read, give them a follow & check out their next show. You never know where all this will take you.
So without further ado, let’s get down to brass tacks & introduce you to…
How many years have you been a professional wrestler?
I started training around 4 years ago but I have been on shows for around 2 and 2/3rds.
Who are your role models? (either currently or growing up)
Growing up I always love Gail Kim, rey mysterio, randy Orton, Trish stratus, lita, Eddie guerrero.
Although since starting I’ve really enjoyed watching kay Lee Ray, I think she’s just incredible.
Was this something you always wanted to do or did you slowly transition from ‘9-5’ to where you are now.
It was always a dream, I’d watch on TV and think ‘I wish I could do that’. I guess you could say it was a slow transition though as I studied animal care and wanted to follow that route. Had a few rough years and found wrestling.
Though I’m studying psychology alongside training and shows wrestling is still my end goal.
What are your main goals for the next few years?
Just to wrestle as much as I can! Work for some more companies and see where the journey takes me. I don’t want to rush past any part of it, I’m definitely enjoying the ride.
What’s your proudest achievement in your career so far?
Proudest achievement would be wrestling rosemary for the tna knockouts title. I grew up watching tna for so long that just meeting her would’ve been great. But to actually wrestle her I don’t think I can beat that anytime soon.
And finally where are some of the promotions fans can currently see you in action?
Currently I wrestle regularly for Fight factory wrestling, Tidal wrestling, Pro wrestling subjective and Hope futr.
