Noam Dar Vs Ashton Smith
I’m conflicted when it comes to Noam Dar. He’s clearly talented (& loved) but there’s just something about him that really winds me up. To be fair, if his role is that of an arrogant heel then he’s clearly doing his job! But in my own personal opinion…there are more stars worthy of TV time, than him.
Ashton Smith is one such person. He’s the underdog we want to win, but he just can’t quite get there. He’s got the power, he’s got the high flying ability…but he just can’t get that 1, 2, 3. As soon as he does he needs to roll with that momentum, but for now it’s another loss. Great start to the show (despite another quiet crowd) but Dar gets the win.
Jinny & Jazzy Gabert Vs Xia Brookside & Piper Niven
Xia might be petite in stature, but she starts the match off by throwing Jinny around like a rag doll! Unfortunately for her this only fires Jinny up, and within mins the tables have turned. Xia takes quite the beating until she is eventually able make the hot tag to Niven.
Both teams are fairly evenly matched, that is until Rhea Ripley randomly turns up to distract Niven, who in turn ends up leaving poor Xia to a 2 on 1 handicapped match! Despite giving it a damn good go, there was no way Xia could take both women on (especially when one of those women is Jazzy Gabert) and the latter, once again, gets the victory.
Joe Coffey Vs Dave Mastiff
Both these guys are huge AND agile, but Coffey in particular is something else. So vicious and intense…& also pretty sneaky. Within minutes of this match Coffey managed to rip off the middle turnbuckle pad to reveal the metal & then use it to his advantage
Mastiff is in visible pain after being thrown into it by Coffey and he uses that like target practice. He’s drawn to the spot like a bull to a Red Flag. But somehow this all backfires & Coffey is left with an ear injury! Not entirely sure how he got it, but Mastiff made the best of it and began an onslaught of head shots to the Scotsman.
This was no wrestling match, this was a pure brawl. So much so, it ended when both men could stand no more and the ref called for a double count out.
Not the best finish, but if it furthers the feud and story, then I’m all in.
