WWE NXT Highlights 11.28.18 w/ The Chairman

After a brief hiatus last week due to Thanksgiving, we’re back to full swing for your NXT highlights. I apologize for not getting a review up last week, but most of us know the NXT episode after a NXT Takeover usually doesn’t provide much anyway. Mostly just recaps and a few matches that got taped before Takeover. With that being said, here’s what went down this week.

Is The Freak Accident Limitless?

The main event featured the undefeated Limitless Keith Lee taking on main roster bound Lars Sullivan. Last week Sullivan went to far and attacked Keta Murray after their match, but Keith Lee intervened making the save. Sullivan didn’t like it so hence why these two are meeting in the ring. The match was okay, basically what you expect when two big behemoths engage in battle. Lee was doing some high flying moves for a big man. Towards the end though, Lee went for a moonsault off the second rope, but Sullivan managed to get out of the way. A Freak Accident later and Sullivan put an end to Keith Lee’s undefeated streak in NXT. Clearly Lars is going to keep building momentum before his main roster debut. Those that follow me close know how I feel about Sullivan as just another big guy so we’ll see what happens.

EC3 Returns and Has a Target

NXT is so stacked with talent that I forgot EC3 was there. It’s been quite some time since we seen him after the Undisputed Era took him out of action for about a month. EC3 took care of Marcel Barthel in his return match, but then he made it clear what his intentions are. EC3 is coming after Bobby Fish for taking him out. He told the Undisputed Era that they didn’t finish the job and he’s coming after Fish’s head, knees, and everything in between. It was a good promo from the top One Percent and I’m curious to see what Fish’s response will be.

Kairi Isn’t Finished With Shayna

There was a backstage interview segment with Kairi Sane, Io Shirai, and Dakota Kai. It’s no secret Kairi Sane and Shayna Baszler have had one hell of a feud. Baszler though got her friends Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke involved so Kairi got a few friends of her own to even the odds. We seen at NXT Takeover: War Games and Evolution the impact Baszler’s crew had on the NXT Women’s Championship matches. There’s definitely unfinished business here between these six women and more than likely we’ll be seeing a six women tag team match of some sorts in the future.

It was an okay episode of NXT, but definitely missing alot of key players. Tommaso Ciampa did cut a brief promo backstage saying he’d be there next week, so there’s that to look forward to. There were some decent matches to fill the gaps to feature the tag and women’s divisions of NXT as well. With that make sure you follow me on Twitter @ChairmanSV and thanks for reading.
