WWE RAW 9.10.18: The Three Key Stories w/Justin C
1. Forget About Charlotte, And Worry About the Bella Twins Becoming The Female Roman Reigns
The Bella Twins have come back and are taking over the women’s division. They have made the Riott Squad look like jobbers the last couple weeks. This week they didn’t even get an entrance. Meanwhile we have the likes of Sasha Banks, Bayley and Ember Moon wasting away on the side with no story. The Bellas are being shoved down our throats at the moment and it isn’t going to change with Evolution coming up. And because the WWE has no idea to book the Evolution PPV, the Bellas are going to be all over it. Charlotte at least earned her spot with her work in the ring. The Bellas are nothing but reality stars that are passable in the ring. Can you imagine if Nikki beats Ronda? The Bellas are taking the spots of women who have worked hard to get where they are. Lets just hope Brie doesn’t make Becky tap out any time soon.
2. Kevin Owens With A Story
I was stumped when Kevin Owens returned to RAW last week after quitting. And while I am still mad that they have KO out there with the rest of the heels taking orders from Braun Strowman, at least they gave him a decent story. Owens said that he came back because Corbin said he could do whatever he wanted and not suffer the consequences. Not only that, but Owens said he attacked Bobby Lashley because he injured his best friend Sami Zayn and put him on the shelf. And ever since then Owens said his life has fallen apart. That is good, simple story telling. You can’t ask for anything better in wrestling. It gives both Lashley and Owens a real feud with a story.
3. Is Mick Foley Another Pawn In Vince’s Game?
So the WWE decided to make Mick Foley the special guest referee for the Hell In A Cell match between Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns. I was wondering why they brought Mick back to celebrate the 20th anniversary of HIAC months after it. But as we have seen over the past few weeks, Vince McMahon will do anything he can to get Roman Reigns over. So you just know that Braun Strowman is going to go after Mick Foley at some point this Sunday. It may be during, it may be after the match. But Vince is going to play another game to get Roman cheered again. And yes, Roman did end up standing tall to end RAW. But I don’t think that means Braun is winning Sunday.
-There was a grown man in the front row wearing a Bellas shirt and had a sign that said “Marry Me Nikki.” That poor soul.
-That Triple H promo was a whole lot of nothing.
-Ronda better tape her ribs DDP style this Sunday.
-Maybe this means Finn’s feud with Baron Corbin is over at least?
-Are they really letting Lio Rush manage Bobby Lashley? The 205 Live influx continues.
