Quick Hits: New Japan Pro Wrestling G1 Climax 27 Night 1

Hello All. We here at HTCWrestling are going to try and bring you coverage of every night of the G1 Climax. Because time is limited, we will likely only bring you coverage of the actual G1 matches and not the other matches involved in the night.

So if you are new to this (and I still relatively am) here are the rules:

-There are 20 competitors and they are broken into two blocks, A and B, with ten competitors in each block.

-Everyone in a block wrestles each other once. A win gets you two points, a draw gets each competitor one point, and a loss gets zero points.

-Each match has a 30 minute time limit.

-The wrestler who has the most points in each block then face each other in the finals. The winner of the G1 then faces the IWGP Heavyweight Champion at Wrestle Kingdom in January.

Here are the results from the tag matches:

Jushin Liger, Hiroyoshi Tenzan and Satoshi Kojima defeated David Finlay, Juice Robinson and Michael Elgin

El Desperado, Minoru Suzuki, & Taichi defeated Chase Owens, Kenny Omega, & Tama Tonga

EVIL & Hiromu Takahash) defeated BUSHI & SANADA

Jado & Toru Yano defeated Gedo & Kazuchika Okada

-Nagata hits a neckbreaker then an exploder suplex but only gets two.

-Both men go to the top. Hashi gets down and hits a powerbomb into a pin but only gets two.

-These two are just killing each other with stiff shots after stiff shots.

-Goto finally connects with some headbutts of his own, then hits the GTR for the win.
