Quick Hits: Smackdown 6.7.13 (w/Cameron Dougharty)

: I’m really starting to think that the boys in the back are ribing The Miz every time he has to do Miz TV. Speaking of ribs, Teddy Long announced Kane and Randy Orton would take on Tag Team Champions Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns.

Curtis Axel v. Chris Jericho

: If Y2J isn’t being paid just a little extra these days it’s a shame. Jericho has helped CM Punk, Dolph Ziggler, Fandango and now Curtis Axel not only build their momentum but he has also helped legitimize these wrestlers/characters. Jericho is the definition of a team player. On a side note, Jericho and Punk have great matches, but am I the only one who thinks Punk’s comeback should be a little ‘bigger’ than a match with Jericho?

Alberto Del Rio v. Heath Slater

: Hey look a 3MB sighting. Eventually Ricardo Rodriguez will leave Del Rio and will get to shine on his own as he did tonight. Name another manager that takes bumps like Ricardo?

Kane v. Ryback

: The WWE has dug themselves into another whole. Ryback technically won the match last month over John Cena, but he isn’t the champion because just like Hulk Hogan used to be, John Cena is the WWE. I was beginning to become interested in the ‘bad ass’ gimmick Ryback was going with, but now he put everyone through tables? Anyone miss The Dudley Boys more now because of this?

: I’ve mentioned this before but Damien Sandow continues to bring out the best babyface form of Sheamus. These two continue to dance around each other has to lead to a match at Payback, but if Sandow doesn’t pick up the win this whole angle was just a waste of everyone’s time. Sheamus doesn’t need another win over a mid card guy, but Sandow REALLY needs a win over a main eventer.

Fandango v. Zack Ryder

: The WWE’s talent roster is so stacked it isn’t much of a stretch to think Ryder could have easily been Fandango, but that isn’t the case. Fandango picks up the win, and Zack’s hair continues to keep the IWC buzzing.

: Kaitlyn’s secret admirer storyline is so boring that this sentence is all I’m going to write about it. Why isn’t AJ Lee the Divas Champion again?

Randy Orton & Daniel Bryan v. The Shield’s Roman Reigns & Seth Rollins

: I am more than thrilled that Daniel Bryan is gaining momentum again, but look at the big picture, the most over guys in the WWE are all heels minus John Cena. I was all in favor of a Bryan babyface turn, but this new angry persona may sky-rocket Bryan into stardom no one thought was possible for the indy vegan guy.

: These past two weeks are so have included some of the best wrestling in the WWE in quite a while. Once CM Punk and Dolph Ziggler are back full-time the pace is sure to pick up even more.
